This is an introduction course for plumbing which you are able to progress onto the level 2 Diploma in Plumbing studies. You will learn all of the different types of jointing processes used in the plumbing industry.

You will also learn:

  • Health & Safety
  • Scientific Principles
  • Common Plumbing Processes
  • Cold Water Systems
  • Hot Water Systems
  • Drainage Systems
  • Communication

This course is a Study Programme which consists of:

  • Vocational Qualification
  • Work Experience
  • Tutorial
  • Maths*
  • English*

* If you have not already achieved a GCSE pass at grade C or above in English and Maths you will study Maths and/ or English as an integral part of your college programme. You will require PPE (personal protective equipment) in order to start your course. You’ll need steel toe cap boots and a fire-retardant hi vis top.

New students - 3 GCSE's at Grade 3 or above in maths and English.
Progressing students - 3 GCSE's at Grade 3 or above in maths and English.

This course is free for 16-18yrs; for 19-23yrs, course is free if you have not achieved a full Level 1 qualification.

If you are aged 16-18 and applying for a full-time programme, then you will not have to pay for your course. If you are aged 19+ then there may be a fee for your course.
