ESOL for Adults
ESOL for Adults is a programme for UK residents who want to improve their English. You will work towards Skills for Life qualification or towards targets set by your tutor as part of your Individual Learning Plan.
You will study English in real-life situations and teaching methods will include individual work, group work, pair work, surveys, role plays, discussions and presentations. You will improve your reading, writing, speaking and listening skills in English, as well as your confidence using the language.
There is an opportunity to be entered for a City and Guilds/Ascentis Skills for Life qualification in Speaking and Listening, Reading or Writing. You can take one exam per term.
You will be able to progress to the next level of ESOL or if your language skills are strong enough, you may be able to join a vocational course at Coventry College.
You must be 19+ to study on this course. There are no specific requirements for but students will be assessed at enrolment to make sure they are at the most appropriate and suitable level for them.
The fee for this course is £250 per term but you might be exempt from paying the fees depending on your individual circumstances – you will be fee assessed at enrolment.
