These English groups are friendly and are designed for you to improve your practical English skills. You will be screened to determine your own personal level and an individual learning plan will be drawn up. All English courses are designed to develop your basic English skills. Your progress will be reviewed regularly and feedback is given during confidential one-to-one meetings. When you are ready, there will be the opportunity to take a test for a nationally recognised functional skills qualification at your level – from Entry 1 to Level 2. Adult classes are 3 hours a week and run in the morning, afternoon and evening. This course is run over various days during the day and evening for your convenience.
No formal qualifications are needed but you will be individually assessed to determine your level of study when you come to enrol.

Making your application

Fees and funding
If you are aged 16-18 and applying for a full-time programme, then you will not have to pay for your course. If you are aged 19+ then there may be a fee for your course.
