This is an entry level course designed to help you if you have learning disabilities/difficulties. You will acquire skills to help you with day-to-day tasks.
The course also helps you prepare for the world of work and independent living.
Course Structure
You will study:
- Entry Level Diploma in Life and Living Skills
- Practical workshops
- Independent living skills
- Music/Art/Drama
- Basic English
- Basic maths
There will also be an opportunity to take part in the Spring Show competition, preparation for work and placement opportunities. You will also take part in Enterprise and Employability activities, an Art exhibition and attend an Awards ceremony. Trips are arranged to improve life skills.
On successful completion of this course, you can apply for a Foundation course.
The course is designed for learners with a learning difficulty working at Entry 1-3. No formal qualifications are required but a successful interview will need to be completed.
This course may be free for 16-18yrs; for 19-23yrs, course is free if you have not achieved a full Level 2 qualification.
For all other students fees apply:
1st year course fee is £1718.

Fees and funding
If you are aged 16-18 and applying for a full-time programme, then you will not have to pay for your course. If you are aged 19+ then there may be a fee for your course.
