    Level 2 Diploma in Plumbing Studies

    This course will provide you with both the practical skills and the theory to help you find work within the plumbing industry.

    This course is for the ambitious candidates who wish to commence a career in the Electrical Installation industry.

    Level 1 Introductory Diploma in Construction

    This course will give the opportunity to develop introductory practical skills and theoretical knowledge in the Vocation of Construction while developing skills and Knowledge in employability, maths and English.

    Experienced Worker Practical Assessment

    The EWPA is an NVQ assessment route enabling an experienced worker (minimum of 5 years in relevant trade) to achieve their NVQ level 2 through a practical assessment. By using your skills acquired over the years to complete a task at our City Campus (usually 2 days) which is then assessed.

    Level 2 Carpentry and Joinery Apprenticeship

    As a level 2 Carpentry and Joinery Apprentice you will be carrying out skilled work using primarily timber products on a construction site or a workshop. You will be preparing and fixing building components from the initial erection of a new building through to the installation of fixtures and fittings as well as carrying out a variety of repair and maintenance activities.

    Level 3 Diploma in Plumbing Studies

    Many of our former students have gained and found employment after completion of the City and Guilds plumbing qualifications, and as a recognised qualification in the industry it’s a great way to start your plumbing career.

    Level 1 Diploma in Plastering

    This is a hands on and theoretical course where you will learn the basic skills to prepare you for career as a plasterer.

    Level 3 Diploma in Electrical Installation

    This level 3 qualification builds upon your successful completion of City and Guilds 2365 Level 2 and provides a solid grounding in the electro-technical industry while reinforcing a sound basic training for prospective electricians.

    Level 1 Diploma in Painting and Decorating

    This is a hands on and theoretical course where you will learn the basic skills to prepare you for career as a painter and decorator.

    Level 3 Plumbing and Domestic Heating Apprenticeship

    Plumbing and Domestic Heating Technicians plan, select, install, service, commission and maintain all aspects of plumbing and heating systems. Appliances and equipment can include gas, oil and solid fuel boilers as well as pumps, heat emitters, bathroom furniture or controls as part of a cold water, hot water, and central heating or above ground drainage and rainwater systems.

    Level 3 ACS Gas Assessment

    The most important part of reaching the status of a fully-qualified gas engineer is being able to do the work safely and legally. This course contains a number of Gas Safety ACS assessments, which is made up of a core safety assessment (CCN1) and then a number of smaller optional appliance assessments.

    Level 2 Bricklaying Apprenticeship

    As a Level 2 Bricklaying apprentice you will be gaining hands-on experience of laying bricks blocks and other types of building components. You will be working in mortar to construct, build and repair walls, foundations, partitions, arches and other structures. You may work on various different sites raining from large housing developments to smaller extension or restoration projects. You may be working alongside other trades whilst on the job.

    Level 2 Plastering Apprenticeship

    As a level 2 plastering apprentice you will be applying layers of plastering to walls, floors and ceilings. You will often complete dry lining projects during your career. You will require knowledge of this as a plasterer. You could potentially be working with commercial and domestic customers, other trades and site managers. You could be working on smaller domestic jobs, larger repair and restoration jobs.

    Level 2 Painting and Decorating Apprenticeship

    As a Level 2 Painting and Decorating Apprentice you will be operating In commercial and domestic properties undertaking tasks around the decoration and protection of buildings. You will be working in a variety of environments such as houses, schools, offices, hospitals, and construction sites. You will be working both internally and externally. Working with a range of water or solvent based paints and wall coverings you will have an excellent knowledge, understand and comply with statutory safety and environmental requirements.

    Level 2 Diploma in Site Carpentry

    The Level 2 Diploma in Site Carpentry course is designed to develop the skills and knowledge of people, enabling them to work in the industry in their chosen craft. It covers both theory and practical elements.

    If you have already completed a first year training course in bricklaying, this Level 2 qualification will allow you to progress onto the next stage. It is suitable for college-based students as well as those on apprenticeship schemes working towards NVQ Level 2. The NVQ Level 2 course will run over 2 years.

    Our Carpentry and Joinery course is specifically developed for delivery in a training environment using simulated conditions, and the test(s) are based on the learner showing what they can do as an individual through the completion of all the requirements of the qualification.
