Choosing Coventry College

Sarah’s decision to attend Coventry College was influenced by her experience at an Open Event, where she was struck by the welcoming atmosphere and the friendly staff. From the very beginning, the environment at Coventry College made a lasting impression on her.

“The staff were friendly and welcoming, the facilities were amazing and gave us the opportunities to expand our knowledge in other areas, such as photography and art history.”

The College provided more than just a place to study; it offered a nurturing environment that allowed Sarah to explore her creative potential fully. The combination of excellent facilities and a supportive community made Coventry College the perfect choice for her.

 An Inspirational Learning Experience

The learning environment at Coventry College was described by Sarah as relaxed and fun, which fostered creativity and allowed students to progress at their own pace. A key figure in her academic journey was her tutor, Jill, whom Sarah fondly remembers for her guidance and encouragement.

“Jill was so lovely and guided us all the way to succeed!” Sarah says. The positive attitude of the staff at Coventry College was a constant source of inspiration for her, driving her to pursue a career in the creative industry.

The College also provided valuable opportunities to connect with alumni, who shared their experiences and insights about the next steps after college, whether it be university or entering the workforce. This focus on future planning gave Sarah and her peers the confidence and knowledge they needed to prepare for their careers.

 Achievements and Career Progression

During her time at Coventry College, Sarah achieved several milestones that bolstered her confidence and solidified her career ambitions. In her final year, she participated in a college competition to design a poster for the Coventry College library, which she won.

This experience, along with the comprehensive education she received, laid the groundwork for her to continue her studies at Birmingham City University. The skills and knowledge she gained at Coventry College were instrumental in her success at the university level and in securing a full-time job in the creative industry—a job she loves.

Beyond her full-time role, Sarah has also taken on freelance design jobs, allowing her to expand her portfolio and further hone her skills.

Looking back, Sarah credits Coventry College with being the catalyst for her career.

“Coventry College gives you the confidence and encouragement to become an independent person, with inspirational staff and fantastic facilities. Thank you for all the opportunities, Coventry College. You were the kickstart of my career!”
