Logan Powell’s story is one of growth and seizing opportunities. Having attended Heart of England High School, Logan found his path to success through Coventry College’s Level 3 Diploma, Level 3 Extended Diploma, and HNC Acting programmes.
Reflecting on his time at Coventry College, Logan shares,
“I made fantastic friends; I would consider them my first friendship group. College taught me what I did and didn’t like and how to be independent and proactive about my career.”
With a supportive environment and opportunities for self-discovery, Logan flourished, developing both personally and professionally.
One aspect of the programme that stood out to Logan was the independence granted to students to create their own work. This allowed him to dive into his creativity and focus on acting. Plus, he felt the staff really understood his mental health struggles and supported him like friends, not just teachers.
For Logan, the best thing about Coventry College was undoubtedly the people. The friendships he made and the camaraderie shared made his college experience truly memorable. Additionally, studying at Coventry College provided Logan with a solid foundation of knowledge for his future endeavours. He explains,
“It gave me a springboard of knowledge for my degree, found myself knowing the foundations of acting from College, meaning I could progress my performance skills during my degree.”
After completing his programmes at Coventry College, Logan continued his journey by pursuing further studies at LMA London, where he completed a Bachelor of Arts with Honours, finishing with a first-class degree. Currently, Logan is signed to an agent, actively pursuing acting jobs while also undergoing training in technical theatre for work between acting gigs. He has also secured a place on an MA course, showing his commitment to continuous learning and growth.
Looking towards the future, Logan’s aim is clear: a successful acting career. His advice to aspiring students considering Coventry College is to carefully evaluate their options and compare what each institution offers, emphasising the importance of finding the right fit for their goals.
About the Acting Course at Coventry College
Coventry College’s Performing Arts and Music programmes offer a comprehensive range of experiences and skills across various disciplines, with a strong emphasis on acting, singing, dance, and performance. Students benefit from industry-standard facilities and studios, including rehearsal studios, a dance studio with Harlequin flooring, and a fully equipped black box theatre.
The department organises regular masterclasses with practitioners from higher education institutions, preparing students for auditions and helping them pursue further studies at universities, drama schools, or conservatoires.
