Meet Emma-Mae Williams, a dedicated and passionate student who has made significant strides in her pursuit of a career in Musical Theatre. A former student of Ernesford Grange Community Academy, Emma-Mae chose Coventry College for her further education and excelled in the HNC Musical Theatre course.

Emma-Mae’s experience at Coventry College has been transformative. Reflecting on her journey, “My course has improved my overall confidence and helped me learn many new skills in singing and dancing. It has also opened up numerous opportunities for me to perform to an audience.” Our comprehensive programme has equipped Emma-Mae with the essential skills and knowledge required for a successful career in the musical theatre industry, preparing her for future job opportunities.

“Being able to perform and show all the hard work me and my group put in day after day to an audience is my biggest achievement,” she says. The support from her peers and teachers has been invaluable. “The best thing about my course is not only what I am able to learn but also the atmosphere of my group and my teachers. They are all so supportive and have always been there to help me when I struggled.”

The supportive environment at Coventry College has played a crucial role in Emma-Mae’s growth. She feels comfortable approaching the staff whenever she needs assistance. “The staff help me so much as I feel comfortable knowing who I can talk to if I am struggling. My teachers also inspire me to be a better performer and to put myself in challenging situations to gain more confidence,” Emma-Mae explains.

Emma-Mae describes her time at Coventry College as a blend of hard work and enjoyment. “My time at college is full of laughs and fun, but it is also a dedicated and hardworking place. Seeing the results of all the work we put in is just an amazing feeling,” she shares.

Looking ahead, Emma-Mae is excited about her next steps. She plans to attend her dream stage school to further develop her skills over a three-year course and eventually pursue a career in the musical theatre industry.

The HNC Musical Theatre course at Coventry College is designed to provide students with the knowledge and skills needed to progress within the Performing Arts Industry.
