Alexandru Shines in Poetry and Earns Inspirational Youth Award Nomination

Coventry College student Alexandru Cocosila, a Uniformed Public Service learner, has been making waves with his poetic talent and dedication to his community.

 In January, Alexandru displayed his creativity by winning an English Poetry Competition organised by the college’s English department. His success at the college level was just the beginning of an incredible journey that has since earned him recognition both in the arts and as a young community role model.

Inspired by his win at Coventry College, Alexandru entered a poetry competition through the Police Cadets, a group he is actively involved with outside of his studies. His powerful and moving poetry once again stood out, earning him first place in the Police Cadet Poetry Competition. This achievement highlighted not only Alexandru’s talent but also his ability to use his creative voice to inspire and connect with others.

Alexandru’s success did not go unnoticed. His accomplishments in poetry, combined with his dedication to his role as a Police Cadet, led to him being nominated for an Inspirational Youth Award in two categories: Arts & Culture and Inspiration Person/Volunteer of the Year. While Alexandru didn’t take home the top prize, becoming a finalist in such prestigious categories is an extraordinary accomplishment and a testament to his hard work, talent, and positive impact on those around him.

As a finalist for the Inspirational Youth Award, Alexandru has already achieved so much, but this is only the beginning of his journey.
