Free or Part-Funded Programmes For Adults
All our part-time and professional qualifications are designed to be relevant in the workplace and help you update your knowledge and enhance your skills.
Depending on your circumstances and existing qualifications you may be able to access a free or part-funded programme thanks to two local and national government schemes.
We are able to offer free or part-funded programmes in:
- Childcare & Education
- Health & Social Care
- Human Resources
- Leadership & Management
- Sustainable Management
Funding streams which you could be eligible for include:
National Skills Fund
The National Skills Fund aims to help adults train and gain the valuable skills they need to improve their job prospects.
Launched in April 2021, it will support the immediate economic recovery and future skills needs. The government is investing £2.5 billion in the fund – giving employers the key skills they require and adults the opportunity to achieve their first Level 3 qualification. To access a free or part-funded programme you must be aged 19 or over, don’t already have a Level 3 qualification and be accepted onto an eligible programme.
West Midlands Combined Authority (WMCA) Funding
If you are a resident in the WMCA, some programmes could also be fully-funded.
Learners must be aged 19 or over on August 31 in the year they plan to start the programme and be a resident of the WMCA to be eligible. Funding is subject to an assessment based on your individual circumstances and acceptance onto an eligible programme.
If you are a resident living in the West Midlands, aged 19-23, you are entitled to FREE training up to Level 3 even if you are in work.
If you are a resident living in the West Midlands, aged 24+ and earning up to £30,000 (or unemployed), then you are entitled to FREE training up to Level 3.
