Accessibility statement

We are constantly working to ensure that this website is as accessible as possible to all internet users, including those with disabilities.

This website has been built and is periodically tested and updated to meet current standards and to be compliant and function with as many web browsers and versions of web browsers as possible. We work hard to ensure that this website complies with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (known as WCAG 2.1).

We have ensured that this website:

  • uses cascade style sheets (CSS) to help improve download speeds and usability. The font size can be adjusted as required by holding down ‘control / ctrl’ (command / cmd on Mac web browsers) and then using the plus (+) and minus (-) keys to adjust the size of the text.
  • provides text alternatives (alt-text) for non-text content
  • has logically structured content that can be navigated and read by a screen reader
  • uses proper markup for every feature including forms and data tables to properly define the relationships between content
  • does not use colour to distinguish or explain something
  • uses text colours that show up clearly against the background colour
  • can be used when the text size is increased by 200% and content reflows to a single column when it’s increased by 400%
  • does not use images of text
  • is responsive to the users device including orientation
  • works as well as possible with assistive technologies
  • functions and can be navigated by keyboard only users
  • lets people play, stop and pause any video content
  • uses descriptive titles for content and frames
  • ensure that the content flows in a way that makes sense to all users
  • uses descriptive links
  • is understandable and uses plain English throughout
  • does not use excessively long sentences
  • explains all acronyms where possible / as required
  • has consistent features that behave in predictable ways
  • has clear and meaningful form labels that are marked up correctly
  • has forms that make it easy for people to identify and correct errors
  • uses valid HTML so that content can be accurately interpreted
  • clearly informs users of the presence of status messages and modal dialogs and allows the user to return to the content they were interacting with before the status message or modal input.
